Northern Arizona University - Program in Intensive English
Northern Arizona University is a progressive, comprehensive university that serves students from the United States and around the world. Academically, NAU offers a wide range of challenging degree programs at both graduate and undergraduate levels.
The Program in Intensive English (PIE) was established in 1987 to meet the academic language needs of international students. The program specializes in teaching academic English language and study skills that are essential to success at university levels. While enrolled in the PIE, students are entitled for all university privileges: libraries, computer services, recreational activities, dormitories, and the student health center. After successfully completing the PIE and achieving satisfactory English proficiency, degree-seeking students are automatically admitted to NAU and may enroll full time in University classes. Our program offers excellent instruction and small class size to allow for individual attention.
